Redesign the outdated internal employee portal to solve navigation issues, improve accessibility, and boost adoption across the company.

Led UX research, restructured the information architecture, redesigned the full UI/UX, and built a cohesive brand and presentation style guide.

Delivered a modern, responsive portal with clear navigation, scannable content, and consistent visual branding across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Impact
Employees found what they needed faster, IT support requests dropped, and internal communication got noticeably easier.
Defined the WaterBridge brand system: logo construction, color palette, typography, and light and dark mode ratios, plus presentation grids and layout rules that keep the portal and corporate communications consistent.
Ran interviews and workshops with employees across departments to surface the daily friction in the existing SharePoint portal: buried navigation, no mobile access, unclear ownership, and resources nobody could find. Those findings set the direction for the redesign: simpler, more accessible, clearly structured.
Rebuilt the cluttered, text-heavy pages into clear, structured layouts built for readability and navigation on any device, using a design system with consistent type, hierarchy, and modular layouts that carries the refreshed brand throughout.
Built fully responsive across mobile, tablet, and desktop, with touch-friendly interactions that let field employees reach resources and complete tasks from wherever they're working.
Restructured the functional pages to surface the resources, shortcuts, and live company stats people actually reach for, cutting search time. Community widgets and activity feeds turned the portal from a static repository into somewhere people actually check.
