Mission / Challenge
8frame lets creators combine 16+ leading AI image and video models, including Sora, Kling, Seedance, Flux, and Veo, on one canvas instead of switching tools for every step of a shoot. The challenge was giving that complexity a design system and an interface simple enough to trust.
Services / Technologies
Led the end-to-end design: a foundational design system shared by the app and marketing site, a reworked core interface, and the node-based canvas that drives every generation.
Outcome
A consistent design system, a redesigned interface, and a node canvas built to scale with a creator's workflow, all shipped and in production today.
Impact
Chaining 16+ AI models together now feels like using one coherent tool rather than a patchwork of separate apps, giving 8frame a visual language creators and the business can both rely on.
Built the design system 8frame's app and marketing site share, from type and tokens to the components that carry the product's complexity: model cards, reference-image drop zones, and comment surfaces on the canvas.
Designed the visual language of the node canvas itself: generation, reference, and comment nodes with clear states and connections, built to stay legible even as a workflow grows into a large, branching graph.
Redesigned the canvas at the center of the product, where a creator chains multiple AI models, image and video, into a single repeatable workflow instead of jumping between separate tools for every step.
Polished the smaller surfaces of the interface, layered glass, background blur, and subtle refraction, giving 8frame a sophisticated, elegant feel without tipping into decoration.
